The Sacred Miqat Stations
Prescribed by the Beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Miqat stations are the inviolable geographical perimeters surrounding Makkah. No pilgrim traveling for Umrah or Hajj may cross these boundaries without assuming the sacred state of Ihram.
How to Cross Miqat Yalamlam on Delhi Flights (SV 757)
Wear Ihram at IGI Airport T3
Take your Ghusl at home or in your Delhi hotel. Put on your two white sheets of Ihram before boarding your Saudi Airlines SV 757 flight at Delhi IGI Airport Terminal 3. Do not make the Niyyah yet.
Pilot & Scholar Announcement
Approximately 30 minutes before landing in Jeddah, the flight crew and our resident scholar announce: “We are now approaching the Miqat of Yalamlam.”
Declare Niyyah & Talbiyah
Declare your verbal intention: “Labbayka Allahumma Umratan” and begin chanting the Talbiyah aloud. You are now in sacred Ihram before crossing the boundary!
Important Warning: It is strictly prohibited to cross the Miqat boundary in normal stitched clothing. If a pilgrim lands in Jeddah without Ihram, they must either travel back to the Miqat station or offer a compensatory sacrifice (Damm) in Makkah. Our accompanying scholars ensure you never make this mistake.
The Five Primary Miqat Stations
Every route entering the sanctuary is shielded by a blessed prophetic boundary.
Yalamlam (Al-Sadiah)
Pilgrims from India, Pakistan, Yemen & Indian Ocean
When flying direct with Saudi Airlines (SV 757) from Delhi IGI Airport to Jeddah, your aircraft flies directly over or parallel to the boundary of Yalamlam approximately 30 to 40 minutes before landing. Pilgrims must wear their two white sheets of Ihram before boarding in Delhi, and formally declare their Niyyah and Talbiyah when the pilot or our accompanying scholar makes the Miqat announcement.
Dhu al-Hulayfah (Abyar Ali / Masjid ash-Shajarah)
Pilgrims journeying from Madinah to Makkah
Located just south of Madinah, this is the grandest Miqat complex with thousands of washrooms and showers. Pilgrims traveling from Madinah to Makkah by coach or the Haramain High-Speed Train stop here to perform Ghusl, wear Ihram, pray two Rak'ahs, and declare their Niyyah before embarking on their journey to the Kaaba.
Qarn al-Manazil (As-Sayl al-Kabeer / Wadi Muharram)
Pilgrims from Najd, Riyadh, UAE, Gulf & Taif
Situated near the scenic highlands of Taif. In our Deluxe Umrah Tour Package, when our group takes the full-day scenic excursion to Taif (visiting Masjid Addas and Abdullah Ibn Abbas), we return to Makkah by entering Ihram at Qarn al-Manazil to perform our 3rd Umrah.
Al-Juhfah (near Rabigh)
Pilgrims from Egypt, Levant, Syria, North Africa & Europe
Historically a bustling town, it serves pilgrims arriving from the West and Europe via the Red Sea or Medina-Jeddah highway. Pilgrims passing through the port of Yanbu or the coastal corridor enter Ihram here.
Dhat 'Irq
Pilgrims from Iraq, Iran, and Central Asia
Prescribed for travelers journeying across eastern desert routes from Iraq and beyond. The area marks the desert watershed separating the highlands from the sacred Haram boundary.
Secondary Miqats for Extra Umrahs
Pilgrims already residing in Makkah who wish to perform a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Umrah travel out of the Haram boundary to assume Ihram.
Masjid Aisha (Tan'eem)
The designated Miqat for pilgrims residing inside Makkah who wish to perform an additional Umrah. It marks the spot where the Mother of the Believers, Aisha (RA), assumed Ihram during the Farewell Pilgrimage by instruction of the Prophet (pbuh).
Masjid-e-Ji'ranah
A deeply revered historic Miqat where Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) assumed Ihram for Umrah after returning from the Battle of Hunayn and distributing the spoils. Included as our 2nd Umrah excursion.
Al-Hudaybiyah (Ash-Shumaisi)
The sacred historical location of the Treaty of Hudaybiyah and the Pledge of the Tree (Bay'ah al-Ridwan). It serves as an outer boundary where pilgrims frequently renew Ihram during our heritage day.
Step-by-Step Rites of Ihram at the Miqat
Follow the prophetic etiquette precisely to ensure your worship is sound and accepted.
Ghusl & Physical Cleanliness
Perform a thorough bath (Ghusl), trim nails, clip unwanted hair, and groom yourself prior to wearing the garments.
Wearing the Ihram Garments
Men put on two clean, unstitched white sheets (Izar around waist, Rida over shoulders). Women wear modest, loose Islamic attire with face and hands uncovered.
Two Rak'ahs Sunnah Prayer
Perform 2 Rak'ahs of Sunnah al-Ihram before crossing the boundary (Surah Al-Kafirun in the 1st Rak'ah, Surah Al-Ikhlas in the 2nd).
Declaring the Verbal Niyyah
Verbalize your intention: 'Labbayka Allahumma Umratan' (O Allah, here I am answering Your call for Umrah).
Reciting the Blessed Talbiyah
Loudly (for men) and softly (for women) recite: 'Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk, Labbayka Laa Shareeka Laka Labbayk...'
Observing the 10 Prohibitions
Once Niyyah is made, enter strict state of consecration: no perfume, no cutting hair/nails, no hunting, no marital intimacy.
